Dee Dee Myers

 

Dee Dee Myers is the first woman and one of the youngest people ever to serve as White House Press Secretary. During the first years of the Clinton Administration, Ms. Myers explained the actions of the new president to a vigilant press corps and to the nation. Jill Smart

 

Jill Smart is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Accenture, responsible for the personnel management, capability development, and staffing of the company's 177,000 people serving clients in over 120 countries.

Prior to her current role, Jill was Accenture's Chief Learning Officer. Before that, for nearly 20 years Jill utilized her extensive program management and solution delivery skills to lead business integration consulting work for Accenture clients.

Jill strives to advance the HR profession through her active participation in HR leadership groups such as HR50, the Personnel Roundtable, the Human Resources Roundtable, the HR Policy Association, and the RBL Institute.

Jill is on the Board of Trustees of the Goodman Theatre in Chicago and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives’ Club of Chicago, and the Chicago Network. A dedicated Illini fan, Jill is an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois and is currently co-teaching two courses, as well as sitting on the Alumni Association Board, College of Business Dean's Business Council, and Illinois Business Consulting's Advisory Board. Jill is also a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is a member of the Chicago State University College of Business Advisory Committee.

Jayne M. Rager

 

Jayne Rager Garcia de Valseca worked as an actress in film and television and went on to be one of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences youngest members to ever vote on the Emmy Awards. She and her husband also found a Waldorf School in San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico, a non-profit organization. It was in Mexico where she endured the kidnapping of her husband who was returned after almost 8 months. Jayne is currently being treated for cancer at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia. At the request of the hospital pastor, she told her story, and other patients found strength and solace in her incredible journey. In addition to using personal tragedies to speak about the power of forgiveness and resilience, the Garcia Valsecas are also well-positioned to speak about the geo-political implications of the Mexican drug trade, cartels and terrorists on border safety and U.S.-Mexico relations.

Sonja Lyubomirsky is Professor of Psychology at The University of California, Riverside. She received her A.B., summa cum laude, from Harvard University (1989) and her Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from Stanford University (1994). Lyubomirsky currently teaches courses in social psychology and positive psychology and serves as graduate advisor. Her teaching and mentoring of students have been recognized with the Faculty of the Year and Faculty Mentor of the Year Awards. In 2002, Lyubomirsky’s research was recognized with a Templeton Positive Psychology Prize. Currently, she holds a 5-year million-dollar grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to conduct research on the possibility of permanently increasing happiness. Her research has been written up in hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles, and she has appeared in multiple TV shows, radio shows, and feature documentaries around the world, and lectures widely to a variety of audiences. Her book, The How of Happiness, was released in January, 2008 by Penguin Press (North America) and translated into 17 languages. Lyubomirsky lives happily in Santa Monica, CA with her husband and two young children.

Britt joined Philips in December 2004 as Director Global Diversity & Inclusion, and is responsible for setting up and implementing the Philips Diversity & Inclusion policy, target setting, and specific actions and programs to implement diversity and inclusiveness as part of Philips’ key HR processes. Here she was responsible for individual career counseling as well as pan-European business development activities. Britt started her career in the international fashion industry, where she worked as a buyer in high end fashion and for shoe designer firms both in Amsterdam and in Paris.

Britt holds an M.A. in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam. With her partner she has traveled the Indian subcontinent extensively. They have one daughter and live in Amsterdam.

Benita Fitzgerald Mosley with her family

The 1984 Olympic gold medalist in the 100m hurdles, Fitzgerald Mosley comes to USATF after serving as President and CEO of Women In Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the oldest and largest organization serving women professionals in the industry, since 2001. At USATF, she will be responsible for overseeing all of USATF's High Performance and Sport Science programs, and will be the point person charged with achieving Logan's previously stated goal of 30 Team USA medals in track and field competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Under her aegis will be USATF's athlete development programs, USA team management, national relay management, elite athlete services, sport science programs, coaching education and management of meet officials.
At WICT, Fitzgerald Mosley managed all activities of the nationally recognized organization of nearly 8,000 members, including staff, budget, fundraising, programs, events marketing and member services. In 2004, she was named Cable TV Executive of the Year by Television Week. She previously worked with the U.S. Olympic Committee in various administrative and developmental capacities, including as Director of the USOC's Olympic Training Centers from 1997-2000.

 

 

 

Julie S. Klewer

Julie is a partner in the CPA firm of Ludwig & Klewer in Tucson, Arizona and a proud

and a proud wife and mother of two sons. Julie received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University in 1988 and has worked in both national and local accounting firms throughout her career. In 1999, Julie received her MBA degree from the University of Arizona and subsequently co-founded Marketing Intelligence, LLC, a Tucson-based marketing research and strategic consulting business. Debra Kaplan

 

Debra Kaplan, is an Arizona board licensed therapist in private practice in Tucson, Arizona. Her focus is on helping her clients learn effective and successful tools in creating their inner, emotional safety and happiness. Her clients have voiced success in living happier lives and healthier relationships, both within themselves and with others.
Debra has always sought to live her passions. In 1985 Debra earned her Masters of International Management from The Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Jill Arzouman, MS,RN,ACNS,BC,  is an Advanced Practice Nurse at University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. She works with surgical oncology patients, providing patient and family education, coordinating discharge planning and conducting nursing research. She received her BSN from University of Iowa and her MS from University of Illinois in Chicago. Jill has an adjunct faculty appointment and the University of Arizona College of Nursing where she lectures and mentors undergraduate students. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters and presented at the national level on varied topics such as: rapid response teams, quality of life, peripheral edema, bariatrics, nursing care of the high acuity patient, pain and breast cancer. She serves as treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses. In addition, she has been elected the Vice Chair of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Content Expert Panel for the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

In her free time Jill is an avid runner – both marathons and half marathons. She is active in the Salpointe Catholic High School Education Foundation and has spent many years coordinating traveling club basketball activities. She resides in Tucson with her three sons Andrew, Jacob and Daniel while her husband David works in Wisconsin and commutes to Arizona.
